I've had the unique privilege of joining the College of Science and Health's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee as a student representative. As one of three DePaul students serving on a college committee, I've been able to help plan our events, critically challenge our processes, and be a passionate voice for progress at the college level.
Particularly, I've been a passionate advocate for stronger DEI initiatives at our annual CSH Fest, an active participant in our DEI Brown Bag Series, and worked hard to improve the systems supporting our marginalized students.
After my successful report the previous year, I was asked to prepare another professor's promotion case. I compiled the survey data from previous students, advisees, and research mentees into a two-page report succinctly outlining the professor's strengths, weak areas, and impact.
For a DePaul professor's promotion case, a student is required to compile the survey data from previous students, advisees, and research mentees. I wrote a two-page report succinctly outlining the professors' strengths, weak areas, and impact.
